Kilimanjaro Trek / Marangu Route
The Marangu Route is probably followed by ninety percent of all climbers. It has a well defined path, which has been well set out and where most obstacles have been modified to make them “climber friendly”. This is a very scenic route with good views of Mawenzi and excellent prospects for viewing wildlife.
Arrival Day: Arusha Hotel, Arusha
We meet at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha Hotel for a briefing over coffee. Your guide will be assessing everyone’s skills for climbing adventure as well as answering any question you have. Dinner and overnight stay at Arusha Hotel or Similar Hotel (Dinner own Expense)
Day 1: Marangu gate – Mandara Hut
Off from the Kibo Palace Hotel, we head off towards Marangu Gate for climbing briefing with experienced Kilimanjaro Expert Tour Leader so called “Victor” with qualifications from Wildlife College of East Africa Left luggage will be kept at Kibo Palace Hotel. First section of the climb through the mountain forest to Mandara Hut (alt.2750m) taking 3 to 4 hours, Overnight Mandara Hut Dinner will be prepared and get to know each other and sharing jokes with Kilimanjaro team.
Day 2: Horombo Hut
Leaving the forest, you trek along a good path through open grassy moorland to reach Horombo Hut (alt. 4700m) taking 5 to 7 hours. Overnight Horombo Hut Early cooked breakfast, Lunch box and Dinner cooked
Day 3: Horombo Hut
The day at leisure and experience the alluring beauty of Kilimanjaro Mountain sunset and views of Moshi Vicinity (weather dependent), whilst savoring a glass of sparkling wine. Enjoy your evening home cooked meal prepared by our cook with the participation of any lovely helpful client. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner cooked at leisure.
Day 4: Kibo Hut
Continue ascending past “the last water point” traversing the saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi to Kibo Hut (alt 4700m) taking 5 to 7 hours. Overnight Kibo Hut Breakfast, Lunch Box and cooked Dinner
Day 5: Horombo Hut
An early start for the summit on steep and heavy screed up to Gilman’s Point (alt. 5681m) on the crater rim to arrive in time for sunrise. Continue on to Uhuru Peak (alt. 5896m), the highest point in Africa. Descend to Horombo Hut for overnight taking 7 to 8 hours ascent and 4 to 7 hours descent. Overnight Horombo Hut Breakfast cooked, Lunch box and cooked Dinner
Day 6: Kibo Palace Hotel
Descend the mountain to the Park Gate taking 5 to 7 hours to be met and transferred to Arusha for mouth watering dinner and overnight stay at Kibo Palace Hotel. If you conquered the summit you will receive your summit certificate at the gate. Green for Gilman’s Point and Gold for those that reached Uhuru Peak. Then, it’s a drive to Arusha for a hot shower and a well-deserved rest at Arusha Hotel for Bed & breakfast (Dinner own expense) Day 7: Tour Ends After big breakfast 06:30 your tour ends, and according with your flight time you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for you’re onwards travel arrangements.

Park Entry fees, Rescue Fees, Camping fees, Guide & Assistant Guide and 2 Porters per client, hutted accommodation provided, 3 meals per day prepared by our chef while trekking, accommodation 2 nights at Arusha Hotel on bed & breakfast, Oxygen Cylinder, airport transfer (pick up & drop).
